She was predeceased by: her parents, Whitt Melton and Elsie Dickerson Melton; and her siblings, Mary Melton, Jesse Melton and Roy Melton.
She is survived by: her husband David Ousley; her children, Peggy Marie (Chad Edwards), James Ray Gardner of Hillsville, Amanda Lee (Daniel Bullion) and Timmy Allen Melton of Galax; and her sister Peggy Wilmouth of Galax.
