He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, John W. Sherrill and Emma Rogers Sherrill; his wife Ophelia; his children, Becky and Steve (Mary Jane); his grandchildren, Scott (Brittany) and Julie Eary (Adam); his great grandchildren, Turner and Miles Sherrill; and his sisters, Loyce Davis and Joyce Hight of Davidson, NC..
