He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Thompson and Edith Bainbridge Thompson; and his grandson Jesse Thompson. He is survived by: his sons, Jesse Thompson of Willis, VA, Walter Thompson (Linda) of Meadows and William Thompson (Patti) of Meadows; and his sisters, Franny Dalton of Florida and Sarah Thompson of Tennessee. He is also survived by six grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandson.
