It is with great sadness that we announce the death of James Melvin Bowen Jr. of Hillsville, Virginia, born in Salem, Virginia, who passed away on December 28, 2020, at the age of 80, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, James Melvin and Julia Dalton Bowen. He is survived by: his wife Janice Jackson Bowen; his sons, Jim Bowen (Donna) and Bill Bowen (Jennifer); his brother Edward Bowen; and his grandchildren, Tyler Bowen, Dalton Bowen and Emma Bowen.
