He is survived by: his wife Barbara Chappell; his daughter Ann Hughes of Hillsville; his son-in-law Patrick Hughes of Hillsville; his son Marvin Chappell of Galax; his daughter-in-law Tammy Chappell of Galax; his nieces and nephews, Melinda Taylor of Galax, Michelle Diamond of Galax, Michael Chappell of Hillsville and Curtis Hill of Galax; and his brothers-in-law, Richard Wilmouth and Howard Wilmouth. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
