He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Howard and Lillie Alice Phillips Smith; and his wife Betty May Smith. He is survived by: his niece Verna Keith; his nephews, Dick Smith, Paul Smith and Doug Sorrentino; and his cousin Mike McGrady. He is also survived by several other family members and friends; several nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and nephews.
