He was predeceased by: his wife Pauline "Polly" Seal Johnson; his daughter-in-law Debbie Johnson; and his parents, Louis Johnson and Annie Goard Johnson. He is survived by: his children, Steve Johnson of Hope Mills, NC, Samuel Johnson (Teresa) of Sumter, SC and Susan Beamer (Moir) of Hillsville, VA. He is also survived by nine grandchildren and eighteen great-grandchildren.
