It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Hazel W. Goad (Hillsville, Virginia), who passed away on September 4, 2021, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her husband John Achelease Goad; her parents, Henry Thomas and Callie Harris Wooten; and her brother Howard Wooten. She is survived by: her son John; her daughter-in-law Priscilla Goad; her daughter Janet; her son-in-law Donnie Hawks; her sister Barbara Phillips; her grandson Ethan James Hawks; and her stepgrandchildren, Scottie Wolfe and Lisa Leftwich. She is also survived by several step great grandchildren and one step great-great grandchild.
