He was predeceased by: his parents, Andrew Hanks and Nita Burnette Hanks; and his siblings, Virginia Hardee, Paul and Kerry Hanks.
He is survived by: his wife Bonnie Lou Alderman Hanks; his children, Marvin Hanks (Jennifer), Angela MacKay (Keith) and Michael Hanks (Kim); his siblings, Jay Hanks, Jewel Shrader, Audena Nester, Larry Hanks, Rebecca Hanks and Dinah Hill; his grandchildren, William Still, Amber MacKay, Heather Hanks, Ashley Hitchcock (Nathan), Hannah Hanks, Jake Hanks, Thomas Still, Kelsey Hanks and Hayden Hanks; and his great grandchild Colton Hitchcock. He is also survived by numerous in-laws, cousins, nieces, and nephews.
