She was predeceased by: her parents, Frank Blair Bowers and Thelma Stanley Bowers Hodge; her husband James P Payne; and her siblings, Nancy Hannifan, Aliah Cox, Helen Dunford, Pat Bowers, Randolph Bowers and Herman Bowers.

She is survived by: her daughter Linda Burkholder of Wytheville, VA.; her brother Wayne; and her sister-in-law Juanita Bowers. She is also survived by Several nieces, nephews, and many extended family & friends.
