He is survived by: his wife Joyce Webb Burnette; his son Christopher; his daughter-in-law Mary Burnette of Fancy Gap; his grandchildren, Tyler Burnette and Lauren (Ken Simpkins); his great grandchild Annaleigh Simpkins; his sister Lorene Newcity of Hillsville; and his siblings-in-law, Ronald (Brenda Webb) of Fancy Gap, Ellen Hiatt of Mt. Airy and Linda Murphy Burnette of Fancy Gap. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
