He was predeceased by: his parents, Carl Parnell and Elva Rotenizer Parnell. He is survived by: his wife Carolyn Parnell; his daughters, Teresa Hawks of Hillsville and Lisa Brooks (Bryan) of Richmond; his siblings, Joyce Wertman, Alene Lawson (Eugene) and Foster Parnell; his grandchildren, Justin Hall (Jaime), Jessica Lineberry (Cruz), Eli Brooks and Madeleine Brooks; and his great grandchild Kayleigh Grimes. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
