She was predeceased by: her parents, Charles Edward and Edna Southall Berry; her brothers, Earl and Edward; her husband William O. "Billy" Evans, Jr.; and her son-in-law William E. "Butch" Gates, Jr..
She is survived by: her children, Steve (Kelly) and Linda Ambrose (Brad); her grandsons, Steven Evans (Mandy), Kendall Gates (Jennifer), Cory Evans (Kim), Aaron Evans (Cameron) and Austin Evans; her great grandchildren, Gavin Evans, Gibson Evans, Sydnie Evans, Penelope Gormus-Evans, Lillian "Lily" Gates and Avery Evans; and her stepgrandchildren, Megan, Courtney and Bradford Ambrose. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made to the Fairmount Christian Church Building Fund, PO Box 788, Mechanicsville, VA 23111.
