He was predeceased by: his father John Ladd Sr.; and his brother Timmy Ladd. He is survived by: his mother Carolyn Ladd; his brother Rick Ladd; and his pet Molly. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting that donations may be made to The Bon Secours Hospice House, 1133 Old Bon Air Rd., Richmond, Va. 23235.
