He was predeceased by: his wife Annie May Rowe; and his grandchildren, Kenneth G. Rowe, Shannon M. Rowe and Cynthia B. Lapierre. He is survived by: his children, James G. Rowe (Susan), Michael O. Rowe (Beth), Frederick W. Rowe (Joanne) and Sherry Blaylock. He is also survived by 14 grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren, 4 great-great-grandchildren.
