He was predeceased by: his mother Suresh Chandra (Radha Rani Ray); his wife Diane Ray (Sudha); his sister Usha Roy; and his son Steve Ray (Subrata). He is survived by: his son Sumit Ray; his daughters-in-law, Sudeshna Ray and Neelanjana Ray; and his granddaughters, Roshni Ray, Shikha Ray and Diya Ray.
