She was predeceased by: her parents, Louis K. McNally and Margaret McNally (Scully) of Dee's Funeral Home; and her sibling Marga McNally. She is survived by: her husband Sal; her daughters, Christine Carrier (Shawn) and Alexandra Ambrosino; her granddaughters, Ava and Charlotte; her siblings, Louis McNally III (Vicki Swenor), James McNally (Laura), Jack McNally (Cecelia) and Patricia McNally (Paul Emerson); and her siblings-in-law, Joseph Ambrosino (Steve Wandishin), Roe Davis (Lee), Julie Malewski (Charles) and Anthony Ambrosino (Michelle Carre). She is also survived by fourteen nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Thursday, January 30th 2025 at 11:30 AM, from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Monday, February 3rd 2025 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM. A funeral Mass was held on Friday, January 31st 2025 at 11:30 AM at the St. Joseph's Catholic Church (750 Peachtree St, Herndon, VA 20170). A burial will be held on Tuesday, February 4th 2025 at the St. Bernard's Catholic Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, and in support of Maura's and her family's profound appreciation of the body of work focusing on dementia, contributions in her memory may be made to the Massachusetts General Hospital Frontotemporal Dementia Unit (https://ftdboston.org) to support the clinical care and research efforts for individuals living with Frontotemporal Dementia, Alzheimer's Disease and related disorders.
