We are sad to announce that on March 1, 2024, at the age of 84, James Gordon Bickel (Herndon, Virginia) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his wife Rexie Berdean Bickel (Olsen); his brothers, Anthony Richard Bickel (Peggy) and Michael Alon Bickel (Anita); and his parents, Anthony Bickel (Tony) and Vera Gordon Bickel (Beth).
He is survived by: his children, Mike Bickel (Beth) of Virginia Beach, VA and Heather McCloskey (Jim) of Leesburg, VA.; his grandchildren, Virginia Ross (Chris), Jeff Bickel (Wesley), Christina Pryor (Gary), Emily Strelitz (Nate), Kaitlin Rodgers (Nate), Patrick Bickel, Justin McCloskey, Jacob McCloskey (Kayla), Lauren McCloskey and Haley McCloskey; and his great grandchildren, Kylee Ross, Chloe Ross, Landon Pryor, Hayden Bickel, Brantley Pryor, Max Bickel and Christian Pryor. He is also survived by three nieces, a nephew and many great-nieces and great-nephews.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Blue Ridge Hospice in Winchester, VA.
