Alice Thorne Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Alice Thorne (Herndon, Virginia), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on March 19, 2025 at the age of 92. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As Alice departs from our midst, her spirit ascends to join the cosmic dance of stars, a shimmering constellation of memories that will forever grace the night sky of the hearts of those who loved Alice. Though Alice may no longer walk beside us, her legacy lives on — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of time and space.
She was predeceased by: her husband Odell Thorne; her parents, James Collins and Lucile Collins; and her brother Charles Collins. She is survived by: her daughter Karen Varona; her son-in-law Richard Varona; and her grandson Richie Varona (Jax). She is also survived by many family members and friends.
Visitation was held on Friday, April 11th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Adams-Green Funeral Home (721 Elden St, Herndon, VA 20170). A funeral service was held on Saturday, April 12th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Adams-Green Funeral Chapel (721 Elden St, Herndon, VA 20170). A burial was held on Saturday, April 12th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 1:30 PM at the National Memorial Park (7482 Lee Hwy, Falls Church, VA 22042).
