Mary Thaxton Obituary
We are sad to announce that on July 8, 2020, at the age of 94, Mary Thaxton of Henry, Virginia passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her husband Henry "Ed" Edgar Thaxton; her siblings, Elizabeth Chumbley Boynuk, Fitzhugh Lee Chumbley, Jr., Lovie Chumbley Coleman and Gertrude Chumbley Rucker; and her son-in-law James W. Phillips.
She is survived by: her daughters, Mary Preston Chumbley, Kanzada Phillips of Rustburg and Caressa Thaxton Talley (Earl Watkins Talley, Jr.) of Madison Heights; her granddaughters, Morganne and Prestina Talley; and her stepgrandchildren, Karen Wolter and Vincent Phillips. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews; and other family members and friends.
