He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Marie McAlexander and Amos McAlexander of Collinsville; and his siblings, Judy Curry (James) of Fieldale and Bobby McAlexander (Kim) of Patrick County. He was also cherished by two nieces; and four nephews.

In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Mount Hermon Church of the Brethren Cemetery Fund, 144 Mt Hermon Church Rd, Bassett, VA 24055.
