It is with great sadness that we announce the death of James Stuart Deitrick Sr. (Henrico, Virginia), who passed away on January 29, 2025, at the age of 84, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Virgil Stuart Deitrick, Jr. and Gladys Matthews Deitrick. He is survived by: his son James S. Deitrick, Jr. (Lucy); his granddaughters, Maya Deitrick and Anisa Deitrick; his son Michael H. Deitrick (Regina); his grandson Gabriel Deitrick; his stepson Michael C. Murray (Yuki); his grandchildren, Sora, Kengo and Anna; his stepson David M. Murray (Erin); his grandchildren, Layton and Kennedy; and his siblings, Sandra D. Kes (Bill) of Columbus, GA and William R. Deitrick (Baek) of Richmond.
Visitation was held on Friday, February 7th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Good Shepherd United Methodist Church (9155 Hungary Rd, Henrico, VA 23294). A masonic service was held on Friday, February 7th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Shriner's Hospitals for Children or Good Shepherd UMC.
