She is survived by: her children, James D. Newsome (Penni) of Charlottesville, Gregory E. Newsome of Heathsville, Pamela A. Sydnor of Mathews, Jennifer Sulik (Vince) of Warsaw and William Claude Newsome; and her grandchildren, Nikki Balderson, Jason Newsome, Steven Newsome, Christopher Sydnor, Jarrett Gordon and Brighton Gordon.
In lieu of flowers the family kindly requests that donations be made in Thelma's memory to The American Cancer Society, 4240 Park Place Court, Glen Allen, VA 23060.
