She was predeceased by : her parents, William J. Stephens and Frieda Whitesell Stephens. She is survived by : her husband Walter Carpenter; her daughter Karen Carpenter; her grandchildren, Helena and Kacey; her siblings, Bill Stephens (Judith) and Cathy Regan (Jerome); and her cousin Pam Kozemko. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
