He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Carol Belle Hardwicke; his sons, Lawrence Swann Hardwicke, Jr. (Buddy), Michael Lawrence Hardwicke, Robert Eugene Hardwicke and Joseph Meredith Hardwicke; his brother Chelf Willis Hardwicke Jr. (Bo); and his aunt Peggy O'Brien. He was also cherished by eight grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and many good friends.
