She was predeceased by: her parents, Carlton Eugene Sisson and Julia Harding Delano Sisson; her husband Gerald Converse Atkins, Sr.; her daughter Nancy McDaniel; and her siblings, Herbert Sisson, Eddie Sisson, Margaret Walker, Booker Sisson and Raymond Sisson.
She is survived by: her sons, Gerald Converse Atkins, Jr. (Debbie) and Michael Wayne Atkins (Gloria); her grandchildren, Gerald Atkins (Susie), Christina Garza (Pati), Michael Atkins (Greta) and Corey Atkins (Summer); her great grandchildren, Stella, Nolan, Atto, Auggie, Mason, Molly, Corey and Gabriel; and her sisters, Henrietta Newsome (Louis) and Gladys Newsome (Leonard). She is also survived by several loving nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made in Delois's loving memory to the New Hope Baptist Church Building Fund, P.O. Box 472, Lottsburg, VA 22511.
