He was predeceased by: his parents, Richard Deel and Ida Mae Clevinger Deel; and his siblings, David Deel, James Ray Deel, Louanna Fuller and Laura Deel.
He is survived by: his wife Betty Fay Bailey Deel; his children, Michael Deel (Shena) of Haysi and Tina Haskell (Shawn) of Birchleaf; his grandchildren, Linda Michelle Sykes, James Dawson Deel, Santanna Coleman and Michael Ramey; and his great grandchild Frankie John Luke Sykes.
