He was predeceased by: his parents, John R. Hicks and Mealie Pruitt Hicks; his brother David Hicks; his nephew Jamie Bailey; and his siblings-in-law, James Elmer Puckett, Clarence Bailey, Jimmy Golf and Juanita Hicks.
He is survived by: his wife Lexie Coleman Hicks; his children, Angie Stevens of Bristol, TN, Sharon Rife of Whitewood, VA, Denise Amos (Jimmy) of Lindside, WV, Jennifer Sparks (Donald) of Beartown, WV, Bonnie Young (Randall) of Lindside, WV, Teresa Cline (Steven) of Panther, WV, John Hicks (Tonya) of Ballard, WV and Patricia Sparks (Jackie) of Paynesville, WV; and his siblings, Willard Hicks (Vickie) of Paynesville, WV, Ruben Hicks (Laura) of Kendallville, IN, Harold Hicks (Judy) of Kendallville, IN, Lissie Bailey, Janice Golf of Grundy, VA and Juanita Smith of Orange County, VA. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, church family and friends.
Services will be held in accordance with Covid-19 guidelines, mask are to be worn by all attending and social distancing is to be practiced.
