Geraldine Whitner Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Geraldine Whitner of Haysi, Virginia, born in Marion, North Carolina, who passed away on February 17, 2021 at the age of 86. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Reuben Elmer and Beulah Blevins Jones; her stepmother Beulah Ham Jones; her daughter Jerri Ann Whitner Henderson; her son-in-law Joey Henderson; and also, Harold Jones and Jimmy Jones.
She is survived by: her brothers, Harold and Jimmy; her husband Reverend John A. Whitner; her sons, John R. Whitner (Deana) of Haysi, VA, Rick Whitner (Vickie) of Blacksburg, VA and Steve Whitner (Tracy) of Birmingham, AL; her daughter-in-law Becky Henderson of Waterloo, SC; her grandchildren, Richard (Kim), Mandy (Jon), Candace, Faith (Michael), Stephanie, Carrie, Jerri (Blake), Michael (Kathy), Addison, Rachel, Ruth, Joseph and Grace; and her great grandchildren, Tori, Tyler and Tess. She is also survived by numerous extended family members and friends.
Due to current circumstances with the pandemic, attendance is limited to extended family.
