It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Sharon Ann Smith of Haymarket, Virginia, born in Dayton, Ohio, who passed away on January 8, 2024, at the age of 81, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Janet Rose Becker (Muller) and George Becker. She is survived by: her husband Gordon Carl Smith; her children, Licia A. Leach (Dana) of Mechanicsburg, PA, Krista A. Beenhouwer of Fairfax, VA and Matthew W. Smith (Andrea) of Charlotte, NC; and her grandchildren, Katelyn, Eric, Emily, Brooke, Colin, Macey, Lindsey and Nathan.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests making contributions to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital (St. Jude Children's Research Hospital (stjude.org)) Sharon/Mom/Memaw will be deeply missed by her family, friends and all who had the privilege of knowing her.
