He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph H. Kerns and Clarine R. Kerns; and his daughter Desiree D. Kerns. He is survived by: his wife Josephine E. Kerns; his son Bruce C. Kerns (Lynn); his siblings, Harold Kerns (Gypsy) and Louise Lashley (Woody); his grandchildren, Nathaniel Barbee Danica Borman (Zach) and Shannon Kerns; and his great grandchildren, Zachary and Kennedy "Frenchie" Borman.
