He was predeceased by: his parents, Mintree Brown and Estelle Brown; and his siblings, Alice Hicks, Joyce Jenkins, Walton Brown and Mary Seigler.
He is survived by: his wife Barbara Jean Brown; his children, Russell B. Brown, Jr. (Tracey), Robert Christopher Brown and Angela Marie Smith (Michael); and his brother Mintree Brown (Rachel). He is also survived by eight grandchildren.
