It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Martha Smith Williams of Hayes, Virginia, born in Utica, New York, who passed away on January 7, 2023, at the age of 71, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, J. Perry Smith and Elizabeth Smith (Williams); and her sisters, Lynda Kellogg and Janice Scott (Pookie). She is survived by: her boyfriend Bob Mowers; her sons, Perry Williams of Barneveld, NY, Truman "Chip" Williams III (Bethany) of Floyd, NY and Matthew Ritz (Rebecca) of Stevensville, MD; her grandchildren, Johnny, Charlie, Taylor, Natalie, Amelia, Henry and Jackson; her brother Fred Smith; and her brother-in-law Harry Kellogg. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in Martha's name may be made to the Old Forge Volunteer Fire Department.
