She was predeceased by: her parents, Floyd Carpenter and Maude Adkison Carpenter; her husband George "Deb" Thompson; and her great grandchild Linleigh Faye Cole. She is survived by: her children, George D. Thompson, Jr. (Charlene), Wanda Hansford of Hayes, VA and Donna Holt (Darius); and her grandchildren, Robbie Hansford (Robin), Ron Hansford (Lisa), Nicole Taylor (Matthew), Heather Nicholson (Lee), Brianna Cole (Randy), Darius Holt, Jr. (Mikayla), Tonya Holt, Susan Hartsell (Ronnie), Jennifer Sadler and Kim Sears. She is also survived by 17 great-grandchildren and 6 great-great-grandchildren.
