It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Emily Yvonne Nightingale Schmidt of Hayes, Virginia, who passed away on August 23, 2023, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her husband Elmer Edward Schmidt, Sr.. She is survived by: her children, Bo Schmidt (Donna) and Lisa Rhodes (Paul); her grandchildren, Dylan Terry and Alison McKinsey; and her great grandchildren, Hunter, Matthew and Rebecca.
