Dorothy Virginia Smith Obituary
We are sad to announce that on November 27, 2024, at the age of 95, Dorothy Virginia Smith of Hayes, Virginia passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
Though Dorothy Virginia may no longer walk beside us, her memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Dorothy Virginia touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In her absence, her spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Luther Riley and Ruby Hogg Riley; and her husband William Edward Smith. She is survived by: her son Nelson Smith; and her son-in-law Wayne West. She is also survived by one granddaughter, and three great great grandchildren.
A graveside service was held on Tuesday, December 3rd 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Gloucester Point Cemetery.
