He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Lloyd Shifflett and Stella Knicely Shifflett of Weyers; his wife Lorene Shifflett; his siblings, Sue Whitesel (Dirk Whitesel) of Stuart's Draft and Robert Shifflett (Renee Shifflett) of Weyers Cave; and his children, Jill Shifflett (Tom Wilfong), Ashley Shifflett (Shane Coleman) of Ladson, SC and Melissa Claytor (Scott Claytor) of Harrisonburg. He was also cherished by six grandchildren, four great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
