She was predeceased by: her husband Charles O. Vandevander; her son Charles E. Vandevander; and her grandson David A. Vandevander. She is survived by: her children, David R. Vandevander (Dottie) of Mt. Sidney and Vanessa V. Thompson (Barry Long) of Harrisonburg; and her granddaughters, Dana Layman, Jessica Thompson and Chloe Thompson. She is also survived by 12 great granddaughters and 3 great-great granddaughters.
