She was predeceased by: her parents, Ellis Howard and Laura Mabel Meiser Hutchison; her husband Frederick Albert Powell; her sister Sibyl Bowers of Indiana; her granddaughter Jenna Quimby; and her son-in-law Ralph Quimby, III.
She is survived by: her daughter Barbara Ann Quimby of Harrisonburg; and her grandson Michael Frederick Quimby. She is also survived by two great-grandsons and numerous extended family.
A memorial service was held on Thursday, February 6th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the Strite Auditorium (1401 Virginia Ave, Harrisonburg, VA 22801).
