With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Kathleen Marie Beer in Harrisonburg, Virginia, born in Detroit, Michigan, who passed away on October 9, 2024 at the age of 90. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Catherine Kovalak and Peter Kovalak; her husband Ken (Associate Professor Emeritus); her brother Edward Kovalak of San Diego, CA; and her son Jeff Beer of Broadway, VA..
She is survived by: her brother David Kovalak (Judy) of Washington, MI; her sister-in-law Francis Dean of Delray Beach; her niece Jennifer Krouse (Dan) of Knoxville, TN; her great-niece Laura Gandy (Jeff Courtney) of Chapin, SC.; and her daughter-in-law Wendy Beer of Broadway, VA.. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews, nine grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren.
