He was predeceased by: his parents, James Maddox Sr. and Dorothy Schulke Maddox; his wife Barbara Diane Edwards Maddox; and his granddaughter Stephanie Hoover. He is survived by: his children, Keith Maddox (Samantha) and Shelby Maddox (Anthony Cline); his sister Patricia Darby; his niece Donna Darby; his grandchildren, Anelise Kite, Colten Kite, Liam Cline, Sev Maddox and Amber Hoover; and his brother-in-law David Edwards.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Rockingham-Harrisonburg SPCA, PO Box 413, Harrisonburg, Virginia 22803 or to McMullen Funeral Home, 5784 Greenmount Road, Rockingham, VA 22802 to help offset final expenses.
