She was predeceased by: her parents, Norvell Preston Trumbo I and Sarah Meyers Trumbo; her grandson Nickolas Allen Alderfer; and her siblings, Thelma Jean Trumbo Shank, John Trumbo, Helen Trumbo Shank and Norvell Trumbo II.
She is survived by: her husband Joseph E. Alderfer; her son Max J. Alderfer (Jackie); and her granddaughter Amanda Marie Alderfer.
