He was predeceased by: his parents, Daniel Walter Strickler, Sr. and Florence Strickler (Hawpe); his former wife Racheal Bridges Strickler; his wife Mary Jane Strickler; his children, Steven Lane Bridges and Sherrie Marie Ramsey; his stepdaughter Rita Fletcher; his brothers, Dwight Calvin Strickler of Dorothy Fultz, D. W, Guy Strickler, Fred Strickler and Charles Strickler; his grandson Justin Dean; and his brother Ray Strickler of West Augusta.
He is survived by: his daughters, Martha Long (Brent) of Broadway, Lorie Miller (Rob) of Harrisonburg and Karen Baker (Mike) of Rockingham; and his stepchildren, William Price of Verona, Willie Crosby of Verona, Maria Dragulski (Richard) of Texas, Billie Jean Price of Waynesboro and Ann Dee Smith of Staunton. He is also survived by three grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; thirteen step-grandchildren; a number of step-great-grandchildren; and a number of nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Friday, January 24th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Coffman Funeral Home and Crematory (230 Frontier Dr, Staunton, VA 24401). A celebration of life was held on Saturday, January 25th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Coffman Funeral Home Chapel (230 Frontier Dr, Staunton, VA 24401). A burial was held on Saturday, January 25th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the Oaklawn Memory Gardens (1921 Shutterlee Mill Rd, Staunton, VA 24401).
