She was predeceased by: her parents, Casper W. Eaton and Annie Elizabeth Dove Eaton; her husband Maurice F. Ritchie; her daughter Phyllis Roberts; her sons-in-law, Gary Higgs, Steve Landes and Hollis Roberts; and her siblings, Pearl Rollins, Mae Eaton, John Eaton, Claude Eaton, Glen Eaton and Forrest Eaton.
She is survived by: her daughters, Lois Landes of Linville and Judy Higgs of Harrisonburg; her grandchildren, Steven Landes, Kevin Landes (Tina), Cindy Atkins (Jason Wilder), Crystal Higgs and Holly Higgs; her great grandchildren, Timmy Landes (Katie), Nichole Landes, Hunter Booth, Natasha Atkins, William Thompson, Samantha Atkins, Andrew Showalter, Destiny Lawrence, Brittany Ford, Dawson Blosser, Stephanie Morris (Gavin), Trever Landes, Jacklynn Landes, Savannah Landes, Taylor Shifflett, Draven Lackovitch and Allison Higgs; her great great grandchildren, Riley Landes, Sadie Landes, Zion Delgado, Shaniya Lawrence, Raelee Lawrence, Kayden Blosser and Bailey Cline; and her sister-in-law Dorothy Shipp. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, March 5th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the McMullen Funeral Home (5784 Greenmount Rd, Harrisonburg, VA 22802). A funeral service was held on Thursday, March 6th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Harrisonburg First Church of the Brethren (315 S Dogwood Dr, Harrisonburg, VA 22801).
