He was predeceased by: his parents, Amos E. Morris, Sr. and Bertha McAllister Morris; his wife Mildred Geer Morris; his siblings, Ruth Ellen Morris, James Elwood Morris, Earl A. Morris (Hilda), Fred G. Morris (Barbara), Lucille M. Hall (Chalmer) and Betty M. Adcock; and his brother-in-law Ronald Hodges.
He is survived by: his sons, Cary Allen Morris (Claire Marx Morris) of Richmond and Barry Keith Morris (Lisa A. Meyer) of Albemarle County, VA.; and his siblings, Charlotte M. Hodges of Charlottesville, Amos E. Morris Jr. (Millie) of Charlottesville and Glen F. Morris (Nancy) of Culpeper. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
