Esther Rohrer Obituary
It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Esther Rohrer (Harrisonburg, Virginia), who passed away on February 12, 2025, at the age of 90, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Amos Wenger and Nettie Wenger; her son-in-law John Robert Shank; her great grandchildren, Lorna Knicely and Gabriel Rohrer; her grandson Kenneth Zimmerman; and her siblings, Paul Wenger (Ruel Wenger), Martha Wenger (Frances Rohrer), Anna Knicely (Fred Wenger) and Frank Wenger (Jake Wenger).
She is survived by: her children, Marilyn Eberly (Wayne) of Rockingham, VA, Marjorie Shank of Rockingham, VA, Mary Ethel Wenger (Kenneth) of Rockingham, VA, Jesse Rohrer of Rockingham, VA and Melissa Wenger (Glendon) of Rockingham, VA. She is also survived by 16 grandchildren; 48 great-grandchildren; 2 great great grandsons; 4 step-grandchildren; 19 step great grandchildren; and 2 step great great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Thursday, February 13th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM and from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Rohrer Home. A funeral service was held on Friday, February 14th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the Pleasant View Old Order Mennonite Church (3694 Coakley Town Rd, Dayton, VA 22821).
