It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Dwight Shank Heatwole of Harrisonburg, Virginia, who passed away on March 4, 2024, at the age of 93, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Heatwole and Fannie Shank Heatwole. He is survived by: his children, Patricia Hertzler (Gene), Richard Heatwole (Marjorie), Evelyn Borntrager (Philip) and Edwin Heatwole (Eileen); his siblings, Esther Shank, Carolyn Reed, John R. Heatwole, Harold Heatwole, Roy Heatwole and Elizabeth Yoder; his wife Fannie Heatwole; and his siblings, Dewitt, Ruth, Mary Ethel, Chester, Charles and Glenn Heatwole. He is also survived by thirteen grandchildren, thirty-nine great-grandchildren.
