He is survived by: his wife Carolyn Sue Sexton Terry; his daughters, Karen Wilkins (Scott) of Rockingham and Patricia Withiam (Mark) of Scottsville; his siblings, Michael Stafford Terry (Tina) and Etta Arlene Jones; his sisters-in-law, Patty Terry, Dora Terry, Dona Kirby and Jerry Lou Weidemann (Bill); his grandchildren, Jennifer Hensley (Dustin), Stephanie Cortes (Josue), Jason Wilkins and Kirsen Pillow (Keith); and his great grandchildren, Leah Hensley, Harper Hensley and Stella Hensley. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

A celebration of life was held on Wednesday, January 15th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Kyger Funeral Home - Harrisonburg (3173 Spotswood Trail, Harrisonburg, VA 22801). Visitation was held on Wednesday, January 15th 2025 from 2:45 PM to 4:00 PM at the same location.
