He was predeceased by: his siblings, Jimmy Berry, Marvin Berry and Juanita Robbins; and his parents, David Edward Berry, Sr. and Lucy Ethel Berry (Ward).
He is survived by: his wife Sharon Berry (Younger); his children, Pamela Berry-Epperson, David Edward Berry III (late Jennifer Daise Berry), Candace Byrd (Aaron Byrd) and Danielle Berry; and his siblings, Earl Berry, Thermond Berry, Sylvia Brooks, Gwendolyn Bonner, Jaqueline Berry-Haseeb (Nuradeen Haseeb) and Doretha Speller. He is also survived by nine grandchildren; and one great-grandson.
