With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Betty Lee Young of Harrisonburg, Virginia, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. Betty Lee left this world on February 11, 2025 at the age of 97, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Earl Sr. Spillman and Anna Marie Raymond Spillman; her husband William Baker Young (Bill); and her siblings, Earl Jr., Wesley, Charles Spillman and Anabel Burton.
She is survived by: her children, William B. Young, Jr. (Tiffany Scheel Duodera) of Chapel Hill, David L. Young (Alice Pool) of Richmond and Betty-Marie Young (Woody Schull) of Fairmont; and her siblings, Jean Watlington and Alfred Spillman. She is also survived by 11 grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, March 7th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the Meredith Chapel - Sunnyside Retirement Community (3935 Sunnyside Dr, Harrisonburg, VA 22801).
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Sunnyside Fellowship Fund.
